TDP teaches a 3-year curriculum to trainees who join the program.

New trainees are selected after a public call is made that a new 3-year round is beginning. Auditions take several days and the choice of trainees is made by committee of lead by the Artistic Director.

The curriculum covers aspects of drama teaching and acting so that graduates are able to continue the TDP program by developing innovating and creative projects in free expression.

Trainees learn and practice in a vocation situation. After group trainings of several months, they participate as assistants to TDP drama teachers, directors, and actors and watch and contribute to the project at hand.

Trainees usually begin working outside the theatre hall in year 2 of the curriculum.

Trainees graduate the program with a Final Project, an activity with or for youth and delivered to or performed for the public over several presentations.
