The
Gaza
Team
Rafat Al
Aydeh
(Gaza Artistic Director)
came to TDP back in
1997. He was a kid then and he helped us with small odd jobs:
sweeping the stage, laying cables, and making coffee. Today,
Rafat is TDP's Gaza artistic director. In between then and now,
he was trained as a technician… and then he joined (and was
accepted in) the 3-year curriculum. During the training he also
learned the video animation program and assisted TDP drama
teachers. When he graduated, he began writing and directing
plays. He
raised the group of the Gaza Theatre Club. Rafat also gave and
participated in workshops abroad so you could say that he is an
example of TDP's program in that he's done it all.
Randa
Muhana
(Gaza Office Manager)
joined us as a part-time animation leader. She wanted a
full-time job however, so she left. Then she came back to
volunteer some time in the office. And we didn't
let her go. Randa has piles of papers on her desk and stacks on
telephones by her side. You'd think she was running a ministry.
Daliya
Sakani (Gaza Office Assistant)
joined us in 2007, and since then, she doesn't stop working! Her
desk is also a maze of papers, names, numbers, and schedules.
Mohammed
Nofal
(Production Assistant)
keeps everyone comfortable. A silent miracle worker, Mohammed goes
for this and goes for that. He shops, pays bills, and turns the
occasional chaos in the office and the theatre hall into order.
Mohammed also sews, paints, and will start learning design.
Ahmad
Qadadah (Technician)
came for the interview. Theatre? And then a big smile, a smile
that=s
still on his face. Ahmad runs the control room and all the sound
and music needed for whatever is going on. He also takes care of
all the equipment used by TDP and is slowly figuring out what it
all does.
The Animation Team
(Video
Animators)
are always moving
from place to place with cameras and video boxes and art supplies
and cookies and drinks. There are six women running TDP=s
animation program. They move from Rafah to Beit Hanoun and
everywhere in between teaching kids how to make cartoons. The team
is also learning as they work and have recently begun with
computer editing and short documentary film-making. And now, they
have made a play! A dedicated and committed team, please meet
Hiba Shalouf,
Wissam Al Faleet,
Miha Abu Shammala,
Ola Salem,
Manal Barakat,
Hannan Qassem,
Khadra Qdeih,
Ward Nasrallah,

The Drama Teachers
(TDP graduates)
are the team of people who lead all drama workshops and who direct
the Kids for Kids plays. They are supervisors for new training
teams and work full-time, part-time, by project, and whenever
needed. This powerful group of actors and drama teachers are:
Mohammed El Hissi,
Mahmoud Oudeh,
Baha Elyazji,
Mohammed Shusha,
Khaled Khamash,
Mohammed Abu Tuk,
Mohammed Abu Kweik,
&
Yusri Mughari.
